Yum Scale

1/10/2011 - Coming soon, a new revamped scale system, truly focusing on the four factors listed below!

At the bottom of the reviews, you will see how many Yums a restaurant, eatery, food truck, etc receives.  There is a possibility of five Yums, with five being the highest rating. Yums are based on four major criteria.  Each criteria is important, as one can bring down the overall rating.  For example, a place may have a cool atmosphere and good food, but if the service and value are horrible, then the overall rating will reflect that.

Atmosphere:  Atmosphere is very important in a restaurant.  What is the look and feel?  Is there a theme?  How are the acoustics?  If it's too loud for example, one could become agitated, and in return affecting their whole experience, as their focus will not be on the food.  An additional note, restaurants should not forget about their restrooms...

Service:  We rely on service, as this is how our food is provided to us.  Even in a food truck, or a fast food restaurant, there is someone serving you your food.  Understanding how to take care of a patron is very important and vital to the experience.

Food:  Of course, what most would deem the most important part.  The level of food will be evaluated based on portion, presentation, and of course taste.

Value:  It may be the best tasting food, but if it's cost is too high for people to afford, when will it be eaten?

Now for the breakdown:

1 out of 5 Yums - Definitely will not return or recommend

2 out of 5 Yums - Unlikely to return or recommend
Depends on the circumstances...

3 out of 5 Yums - Middle of the road, not bad, but not great either

4 out of 5 Yums - Good place to eat, will return & recommend
If a location becomes a 4 Yummer, it makes it to the Top Choice List.

5 out of 5 Yums - Great place all around
Basically means its hard to stop thinking about not eating there again soon
