Steven Sorrell
Steve was born in Frankfurt, Germany where he spent a large portion of his younger life before attending junior high and high school in Prince George, VA. Being in Prince George, he got his first taste of working in the service industry as a cook at the local Pizza Hut, and often found himself experimenting with food around the house. While attending school at Virginia Tech, he started to discover that he had a true curiousity for food, creating unique items to allow for a constant variety in his diet. He also worked many positions at local restaurants, including flat top grill, char grill, prep, and more.
After graduation, he moved to Washington, DC to be with his now wife and take a position in his degree field of Interior Design. However, food is never far from his thoughts, as he not only thinks about it all day, but even dreams about it at night. He continues to explore his own boundaries in trying food as well as cooking his own. TheYumReport was his idea of sharing both of these loves with everyone around him, hoping you enjoy it as much as he does.
